K'E K'E M - ST

Tornano con un eccellente LP i quattro speedrockers sardi, portando con sé con il consueto carico di velocità, riffs killer e attitudine DIY.

Approdato ormai al quarto full-lenght, il rodatissimo combo rientra in studio con l’unica intenzione di caricare come cinghiali incazzati, infatti sin dall’opener “Boxi Sirbonesca” (letteralmente voce cinghialesca), è esattamente ciò che fanno! Un breve incipit grind, con tanto di un inedito growl da parte di Leo, ci porta appunto nella mente di un cinghiale libero e selvaggio… Ma non preoccupatevi, dopo la breve parentesi grindettona, lo stesso pezzo si trasformerà nel delirio speed r’n’r a cui la band ci ha da sempre abituato nei suoi quindici e passa anni di vita.

Qui i paragoni si sprecano: uno potrebbe chiaramente tirare in ballo gli Zeke, così come i Peter Pan Speed Rock, che certamente sono tra le influenze dei K'e-K'e-m, ma tali rimangono in quanto la mistura letale di punk e rocka-rolla è suonata con grande tiro e personalità, a partire dalla scelta di una cover di Jhonny Cash (Aint no Grave) stravolta dalla velocità, per finire con la scelta di un cantato cantato TOTALMENTE in sardo (e se storcete il naso come minimo siete quelli che non capiscono una parola d’inglese ma si scandalizzano se un gruppo usa la propria lingua per scrivere i testi delle canzoni).

Qui c’è ne è per tutti! In un pezzo si sentono echi stoner, mentre in altri riffs che mi hanno riportato alla mente la faccia più alcolizzata dei Venom (chi mi conosce sa che è un complimento).

Il tutto è registrato in modo totalmente DIY e suonato in modo più vero e diretto possibile, rilasciato dall’etichetta del gruppo, la Zilleri Records in 400  copie di magnifico vinile, che vi offrirà due tracce in più rispetto al fottuto download!

Un gruppo da supportare incondizionatamente in quanto sono come la cucina sarda sotto le feste: hai la garanzia che sarà sempre fresca, genuina e buona ma anche la certezza che sarai talmente pieno da riuscire a rialzarti a malapena da tavola.

Consiglio a tutti di andarli a vedere fottendosene di stili, scene, barriere e bla bla vari, vedrete come possono essere una killer-band sia su disco che dal vivo! Istriéééééé!!!!!!!

The sardinian rock’n’roll boars are back, with all the speed, the killer riffs and the DIY attitude!

This is the 4th full-lenght and the band have only one intent: trample you like a mad enraged boar and, with the openere “Boxi Sirbonesca”(literaly Boarish Voice) is exactly what they do, a little grind intro with a surprising growl by the frontman Leo remind us a wild pig… But dont worry, after the small blasting section the sound turn into the the high octane speed r’n’r that the band delivers since 15 years!

If you’re looking for influences, Zeke, Peter Pan Speedrock and the allmighty Motorhead are obiviously the best comparison, but the Sardinian 4-pieces is not a copycat and plays the deadly mix of punk an r’n’r with balls and individuality, starting from the lyrics sung TOTALLY in Sardinian language (i really think that everyone should sing in their language rather than an horrible english, more or less like this rewiew ;) and choosing a cover from the man in black himself (of course i’m speaking of J.R.Cash folks) and turning it in a speed drenched tune with sardian lyrics!

Every song has it’s face: a stoner section in one, a riff reminding a drunken version of Venom (does a sober one exist?) in another.

Everything is recorded in a total DIY yet perfect way and printed by the label of the band itself (Zilleri records) in 400 copies of amazing black vinyl with 2 more tracks compared with the fucking download.

Support this band, in Sardinia we dont have only beautiful seaside and landscapes, but also kick ass rock n roll!

So come for the seaside, stay for the speed rock’n’roll of K'e-K'e-m!
