COLLAPSE - A MANO ARMATA

Whoaaaaaaaaah!
Ottimo demo dei toscani Collapse:
4 tracce di thrash metal imbastardite da un po' di speed metal e serratissime ritmiche devote all'hardcore.
Un tocco abbastanza caratteristico lo danno i brani "Terminator" e "Roma a mano armata" cantate completamente in italiano con testi dedicati appunto a i due film citati...
Questo mi riporta alla mente i vecchi In.si.dia. e Distruzione (in quanto cantano in italiano) ma anche i più moderni (anche se più demenziali) Ciementifico.
Le metriche italiane di queste due canzoni mi fanno impazzire e vi assicuro che sono veramente da headbangin' scatenato e pogo bastado.
Azzeccato pure l'intro estratto da  "Roma a mano armata" per l'omonima canzone che, fusa con la musica, risulta fottutamente adrenalinica, sopratutto se avete visto questo film di Umberto Lenzi con il mitico Thomas Millian nella parte del gobbo.
Tutto questo non per svalutare le altre due canzoni in inglese "Speed Metal from the grave" e
"Band of Mexcal" che sono altrettanto fighe!
Ci sono un sacco di gruppi che hanno canzoni tamarre che parlano di Speed Metal penso che nessun altro ne abbia un su un poliziottesco italiano (mi ricordo solamente "Calibro 9" dei D.P.G.e qualcosa degli Ugo Piazza e fanno tutt'altro genere) e questo va decisamente a favore dei Collapse!
Ricapitolando, un' ottima demo, tra voce roca e furiosi riff di matrice bay-area che scorre veloce e precisa, lasciandomi un'ottima impressione in un'era in cui i gruppi thrash spuntano come funghi e a volte mancano di personalità.
Per citare un po' le band che hanno influenzato di sicuro i toscani ci sono:
(primi) Metallica, Slayer, Bulldozer e Exodus.
Se un eventualte full-lenght si terrà su questi livelli e/o migliorerà dal punto di vista della varietà e magari sarà cantato tutto in italiano secondo me questa band sarà un' ottima realtà thrash underground a fianco di band come gli Shock Troopers e i già citati Ciementifico.
Altre due cose vanno a favore loro:
la prima è che sono stati loro stessi a chiedere di mettere il demo qui in free download e questo denota una mentalità underground e D.I.Y. che spesso molti thrasher de'noantri si scordano e in più uno dei chitarristi ha un'Explorer, da sempre la chitarra dei miei sogni (se fossi un chitarrista...) quindi un punto in più!
Aspetto con ansia nuovi pezzi!

Really good demo by the Tuscans Collapse!
4 rough tracks of wild thrash metal melted with speedmetal riffs and the fastest hc beats ever.
2 of these songs are singed in italian reminding me old bands as In.Si.Dia and Distruzione
(not the music just the italian singing) and the most recent Ciementificio.
These 2 songs are "Terminator" and "Roma a mano armata" and the lyrics are about this two movies ("Roma a mano armata" is the italian title for "Brutal Justice" by Umberto Lenzi), and they really shreds especially if you have seen the movies and you love them.
I'm not saying that the other two songs ("Speed Metal from the grave" and "Band of Mexcal") are not cool but just that any band have a song about Speed Metal and so few bands have songs about the italian crime police movies (i remmber just "Calibro 9" by D.P.G,and some songs by Ugo Piazza) and this make Collapse a lot cooler in my opinion, also the lyrics in italian sound really cool with a lot chorus and singalongs!
Anyway this is a good Thrash demo with a lot of fast beats, raw vocals, wild solos, chainsaw riffs and everything that you need to start banging and moshing into your room or at Collapse concerts!
Two others points make me love this band: 1-They sent me a mail, asking me to put this demo on the blog, showing a D.I.Y. attitude that sometimes some fake-ass retro thrashers have forgot!
2-One of the guitar players proudly plays an Explorer whic is the guitar of my dreams (if i was a guitar player), so support them and go to their shows to mosh if you can!
If C.will make a Full-lenght good as the demo it will be a real blast and they will truly deserve a place in the Thrash underground scene together with Shock Troopers and Ciementifico!
