The Nutries - Stuprated Brain

Stavolta si parla del cd del combo vicentino "The Nutries".
I toponi in questione (anche se la nutria tecnicamente non è un topo, ma un castorino) suonano un punk veloce e sguaiato che pesca un po' dalla tradizione UK e un po' dalla tradizione italiana, aggiungendo velocità sostenute.
La mistura è godibile e i 12 brani scivolano via veloci e sono molto d'impatto, complice una batteria che è veramente precisa e veloce.
Buoni anche i suoni di chitarra e la registrazione in genere!
Voce urlata ma compresibile che, a mio parere, dovrebbe solo concentrarsi un poco di più sulle metriche e sarebbe perfetta.
Penso che, data velocità dei brani, sia una ottima live band.
I testi dicono la loro sulla merda che c'è nella società, nella religione etc, come il buon punk ci ha sempre insegnato, senza però prendersi troppo sul serio, scrivendo con una certa ironia e senza troppe seghe mentali.
Riassumendo con parole loro "Non c'è destra né sinistra, solo ideologie da teppista".
La traccia che mi fa impazzire di più è "San Marco" ascoltatela e capirete il perché!

Here's a band from Verona (Italy) called The Nutries (Nutries= big sewer rats, that descends from the beavers, so even if nutria is a term to indicate a big rat, is not a rat at all, but that's another story...).
Anyway the rat-guys from Verona plays punk/hc picking up ispirations from both from the uk and the italian old school, but with fast drum beats!
The recording is good and due to it and to the fast drums the 12 track of this cd are good to listen.
Lyrically the band talks about the old school topics inside punk/hc, so anti-system, anti-cops, anti-conformity, but without taking it too seriously.
To resume the band attitude you can read this sentence from the lyrics:
"not right wing politics not left side politics, just thug attitudes".
So if you like raw old school stuff you will enjoy The Nutries!
