Tre loschi individui trasportano una bara che contiene 12 pezzi di tiratissimo fast-core!
Arrivati finalmente all'esordio su lunga distanza dopo periodi di fermo e cambi di line-up,i padovani EYA sfornano un discaccio per amanti della velocità ma non solo.
Imparentati con i superbi Antisexy (leggendario combo fast/pw composto da fusi di testa) dei quali gli E.Y.A. ereditano cantante e batteraio
aggiungendo due nuovi elementi e tornando in pista.
Rispetto al vecchio demo cdr di qualche hanno fa, il suono è nettamente migliorato, più corposo e attento ai particolari.
Si parte in quarta con "What's the problem?" dove il buon Mirchetto (l'urlatore della band non che boss della HERE AND NOW RECORDS, una delle meglio distro italiane!) inveisce sullo stronzo di turno spiegandogli con dolci parole al miele che il problema è lui stesso (<<What's the problem? The problem is you!>>).
La canzone oltre alle consuete parti a rotta di collo ha un intro dal sapore veramente r'n'r che incita a muovere il culo e pogare, poi inizia il tupa-tupa, le urla stridule e incazzose (va detto, sono un po' più comprensibili del solito) e i riff di matrice fastcore.
Le influenze sono sempre quelle, Cut the Shit, the HOrror, Vitamin-x (sopratutto nelle parti più rockeggianti), Ten Yard fight quindi hc e fast nella loro maniera più spaccaossa.
L'idioma utilizzato in questo caso è l'inglese e i testi sono quasi tutte storie personali di disgusto verso la gente che si ha attorno, di quanto il lavoro sia opprimente e l'hc vissuto con passione e "dedication". L'unico testo in italiano "Ogni secondo" e rende veramente un casino e, a mio parere, la band dovrebbe seriamente pensare a fare qualche canzone in più in lingua madre (magari anche qualcuna in veneto, perché no).
Un ottimo disco che non riserva anche qualche momento più cadenzato (Taste of gold) che stupisce,dopo tutte le bordate di velocita ricevute,finalmente una band che suona veloce ma con personalità.
Oltre al disco vi consiglio di andarli a vedere dal vivo, magari a casa loro in Veneto... mi raccomando se ci andate siate disposti a pogare fino all'utimo stage diving (per parafrasare il titolo del disco)!
Non mi sento certo di consigliare questo disco ai crusters o i grinders più intransigenti ma se amate l'hc veloce e non troppo caotico fate vostro questo gioellino.
Ottimi anche i disegni di copertina e inlays di Osso Servadio illustratore coi controcazzissimi (andatevi a vedere certi suoi lavori sulle tavole da skate, che poi ne riparliamo)!

Finally out with debut album after a period of stop and some line-up changes,Padova-based E.Y.A. comes up up with this cd for that will satisfy both speed-maniacs and HC fondamentalist.
Sharing some members with the allmighty Antisexy (for who don't know who they are: a legendary fast\pw combo made up by really insane people), E.Y.A. inhereit the singer and the drummer adding two new fellas and coming back on the map.the band release a cdr some years ago, this release sound better,the sounds are more accurate and clear, the works start at full throttle with "what's the problem" where Mirchetto (screamer of the band and boss of Here and Now records,one of the best distro in Italy).
Show his hate towards the an unidentified hated person,and it explain that the problem is just him (<<what's the problem?the problem is you!>>) beside the the usual up tempo beats there is a r'n'r style intro that will make you move your ass, then it come the hc part with, fast beats, high pitched screams and all the things that you love from a fast-core song.
The influences of the band are outfits as: Cut the shit, The Horrom, Vitamin-x (expecially the r'n'r parts), ten yard fight so a good mix between hc and fast-core.
The band sings in english the topics are releated to personal feelings, the alienation in the work place and the hc lived with passion and "dedication",the only song in italian is "Ogni secondo"(Every Second) and it rocks,i think that the band should have some more italian written songs.
very good cd that have even some mid tempo (Taste of Gold).E.Y.A. is a band that play fast but finally with personality.
I really reccomend this cd but beside this i suggest yo catch them live (maybe in Padova),if you go there be ready to mosh until the last stage diving.
Some attention must be payed to the artwork and the inner paintings of the cd made by Osso Servadio a very cocky Painter\Illustrator (go and see his work of the old skateboards).
