Gli Incrust, combo svizzero proveniente da Ginevra e comprendente membri di Mumakill e Burning Flesh, si presenta con questa demo di ottima fattura, che si colloca a metà strada tra il grind e il crust, suonato in modo metallico e preciso con una brutale voce che si alterna tra screams e growls.
La band cita Disrupt, Disfear,
Wolfbrigade e Tragedy tra le sue influenze che certamente si sentono,
anche se io vedo in questo gruppo meno derive melodiche e più
sfuriate tendenti al grindcore. Ottima la registrazione e la
performance dei singoli membri (tecnici al punto giusto da
allontanarli dal grind puro e lo-fi) che esalta le loro
capacità di songwriters in un genere molto chiuso.
Un ottimo disco d'esordio suonato da
professionisti (o comunque gente che ci sa fare con il proprio
strumento).
Se amate l'HC/Crust/Grind ben suonato
questo disco fa decisamente per voi!

Incrust are a band from Geneva
(Switzerland) which features members from band like Mumakill and
Burning Flesh.
This first demo is awesome and the
musical style is something in the middle between grind and crust, but
played in a very metallic way with brutal screams/growls vocals.
The band quotes Disrupt, Disfear,
Wolfbrigade and Tragedy as their influences; I totally agree with
these influences but I can hear a less melodic influences into incrust sound.
The recording is super clean and the
band's members are very skilled musicians:that's make the band
different from the old-school lo-fi grind, but is also a something
good in a very closeminded genre.
Really good start, now let's see what
the future will bring for them.
Totally recommended if you're into the
HC/Crust/Grind.
