ERMES - WORST CASE SCENARIO

Tornano gli Ermes, incazzati come non mai e con il titolo dell'anno: WORST CASE SCENARIO, il peggior scenario possibile ed in effetti sembra che ciò si sia effettivamente avverato.
Questo è, per l'appunto, il peggio che gli Ermes possono tirare fuori in quanto a negatività ed incazzatura, caratteristiche non così evidenti nel primo output di questo combo italico, che invece qui sembrano avere preso il sopraventto, senza però snaturare la natura policromatica della creatura in questione.
I passaggi piuttosto intricati ma sempre ben concepiti, guidano l'ascoltatore verso un viaggio lisergico e disperato che probabilmente non ha una meta ma piuttosto un fine: mischiare l'apetura a 360° del post-core con il qui ed ora del punk/hc più classico, riuscendoci appieno grazie anche all'ottima resa sonora della release, a quanto pare mixata con totale incompetenza (parole loro) dalla band, ma che qui ci sembra più che ottima.
Fantastica la copertina a cura di Lorenzo "Bob" Coppini (www.odiodesign.com) che, con quello che noi definiamo un TopoLupoDingo, ci ha conquistato il cuore oltre a rendere visivamente convincente il peggior scenario possibile.
Disponibile in CD grazie a Santa Valvola Records e a Frammenti di un cuore esploso, ma la band vi ricorda che, se preferite drogarvi ma volete anche ascoltare un po' di musica, c'è sempre Bandcamp e il free download.

Ermes are back and this time they are fucking pissed off with the iconic title WORST CASE SCENARIO (best record title of 2016).
The music changed a bit pointing towards the negativity and the anger filled sound.
It seems that the main intent is to blend the here and now attitude of old school hc with the 360° patterns of post hc.
This EP is a trip into a lysergic negative mind where nothing has to be given for granted: speed and aggresion walk close to noise and total madness.
Kudos to the fantastic cover by Lorenzo "Bob" Coppini (www.odiodesign.com), we really love that WolfMiceDingo and it express very well what a worst case scenario can be.
