P.L.F. – Ultimate Whirlwind Of Incineration

Recensione a cura di Valerio One Day in Fukushima

Review by Valerio One Day in Fukushima

This band need no introduction but for organic reasons let's to say who we are dealing with: the P.L.F. (Acronym which until 2007 stood for "Pretty Little Flower" but later changed the title of an album called "Pulverizing Lethal Force") are a grind band active  since 1999 and they have released a lot of material: including albums and various splits ,  with famous names like Suffering Mind, Mesrine, Uhnoly Grave, Cyness, Dead Instrument, Birdflesh etc.
This time we speak of their latest album (the fourth to be exact) titled "Ultimate Whirlwind of Incineration" released in 2014 to Blastafuck records.
This is an old grind style, no modern elements, or  experimentations , with elements for the thrash: 15 songs feature  (even the classic "Page By Page" of Assück), for a total of half-hour, very delightful  thanks to the impeccable drumwork of Brijan Fajardo, one of the best grind drummers  currently  also  behind the set with Phobia, Noisear, Kill The Client etc.
Matt is a killer bassist and Dave (singer and guitarist), is never out of breath and doesnt lack in energy, but is always explosive and ready to scremas his lungs out
this cd is  pure  explosive power, without any concession to the modernity but only so much love and dedication: here's what makes P.L.F. one of the most suitable names to represent the beautiful American grind scene.
