Secondo lavoro per le forze occulte di Porto Empedocle!
Se il primo "After Christ before the end" mi piace 10 questo "Varcata la soglia" mi piace 20!
Le influenze Thrash sono marcatissime, il lavoro è quasi interamente cantato in italiano e la drum machine presenta suoni molto migliori ed una programmazzione che la rende ancora più amalgamata nel maligno suono dei R.M.
Le tematiche sono occulte e oscure ma lontane dai soliti clichès bambineschi tipici del black dozzinale di questi anni.
Si va dagli inni a Pan e alla libertà (Inno a Pan, epico il ritonello che grida "FAI CIO' CHE VUOI" celebre motto dell'occultista Alesteir Crowley) alla Cabala ebraica (La Prima Qliploth) sono argomenti in cui non sono ferrato quindi non riesco a cogliere appieno il significato delle liriche, ma una cosa è certa:
tutto ciò, essendo molto evocativo e suggestivo, contribuisce a creare un' atmosfera molto diversa dal black scandinavo, avvicinandosi di più alle atmosfere siciliane che più appartengono alla band,
un po' come si proponeva di fare il vecchio black metal greco.
Se mi lamentavo che nel precedente lavoro gli intro erano un po' troppi questa volta sono solo due e molto bene azzecati:
"Lontano dalla luce" (sinistro e noisy) e "Bianca Marna" (quasi epico ed Heavy nel suo incedere).
Belli anche i riffs quasi Hard rock di "Bitch Torment".
Certamente un lavoro non originale quello dei R.M. ma senza dubbio portato avanti con una personalità fuori dal comune, un'altra grande conferma dall'isola siciliana che sembra sfornare gruppi della madonna,
uno dopo l'altro.
Consigliato agli amanti del metal estremo più occulto ma anche ai grinder e crusters più aperti che trovarenno in questo cd degli spunti molto interessanti!

Second Full lenght for the Occult maniax from Porto Empedocle!
This time they made a big hit! if "After Christ...Before the end" is good work this "Varcata la Soglia" is Even better.
The sound and the recording are improved and the drum-machine is now more amalgamated and uniform.The Thrash influences are now taken more space into the riff-rama making the whole work more listenable.
This work is almost all singed in italian,with very obscure and occult lyric that are far from the childishs clichès of the novadays black metal.
Some argiuments are the freedom(Inno a Pan,with the great refrains "DO WHAT THOU WILT" by Alesteir Crowley) and the Jewish caballa(la prima Qliploth) i dont know anything about this occult stuff,but one thing is sure ladies and gentlemens,this shit is truly evocative and bring to R.M. a unique atmosphere far from the nordic BM.
If the problem of the first demo where the abundance of intros,thid time the intro are just two and are really good,"Lontano dalla Luce"(Gloomy and noisy) and "Bianca Marna"(almost Epic and Heavy).Good even the simil Hard rock riffs in the "Bitch's Torment" tracks.
Aniway going to conclusion this certainly not a originally work but surely made with great personality,another great confirmation out for the sicilian island that seems to give birth to many great bands.
Reccomended to all the extreme maniax but even to the most open minded crusters and grinders that will find on this cd very interesting ideas.
