MALOKARPATAN - KRUPINSKÉ OHNE

I Malokarpatan (letteralmente "abitanti dei Piccoli Carpazi", catena montuosa slovacca), ci presentano il loro terzo full-lenght "Krupinskè Ohne"(il fuoco di Krupina), mastodontico concept su fatti stregoneschi che accaddero in Slovacchia, dove una congrega di streghe terrorizzò la popolazione e finì sul rogo dell'infame inquisizione.
Cantato in lingua madre, delle traduzioni in inglese ci guidano in questo viaggio oscuro ed occulto di sicuro fascino e particolarità.
Sotto quest'impianto lirico c'è un suono che pesca a piene mani dall'heavy metal classico di Mercyful Fate, Candlemass, Exorcist, Diamon Head e Death SS, ma con il tocco black first wave di Venom, Sabbat (JPN), HellHammer e Mortuary Drape, filtrato in un'ottica da band dell'ex-blocco sovietico come Root, Master's Hammer e Polkogep!
A questi assalti fatti di riff incasellati perfettamente uno dietro l'altro alla maniera della mitica Satan's Fall, si unisco parentesi acustiche e prog degne di Black Widow e High Tide.
Ci troviamo davanti ad un mix primitivo degli elementi più epici ed evocativi della musica del diavolo, con una voce sguaiata e minacciosa che racconta storie inquietanti in lingua madre.
L'album  si compone di 5 tracce per 49 minuti in totale, un bel viaggio pregno di riff e stacchi. L'ennesimo gruppo sotto Invictus Records che si innalza sopra la mediocrità di bands con approcci "folk" con mille ciufoli e stumentini del cazzo, ma pesca a piene mani anche dal passato più interessante della scena metal, riarrangiandolo in una visione locale sicuramente accattivante.
I più vivi complimenti al membro dei Malokarpatan che sfoggia con orgoglio una maglia del mitico Land of Mistery dei Black Hole, gruppo italiano che mai abbastanza è stato celebrato.

Malokarpatan (literally "inhabitants of the Little Carpathians", a Slovak mountain range), unleash  their third full-length "Krupinskè Ohne" (Krupina's fire), a mastodontic concept about witchcraft related events that happened in Slovakia, where a coven of witches terrorized the population and ended up at the stake of the infamous inquisition.
Sung in their the mother tongue, the lyrics are a dark and occult journey making this record charming and peculiar.
The Lyrics are supported by a sound that take influence  from the classic heavy metal of Mercyful Fate, Candlemass, Exorcist, Diamon Head and Death SS but with a touch of  First wave black metal in the style of Venom, Sabbat (JPN), HellHammer and Mortuary Drape filtered from a former Soviet bloc view in the likes of Root, Master's Hammer and Polkogep!
A perfectly crafted riff assault in the manner of the mythical Satan's Fall!
There is also room for eerie acoustic breaks and prog sections worth of band like  Black Widow and High Tide, we are in front with of a  primitive mix of the most epic and evocative elements of the devil's music, with a shameless and threatening voice that tells occult tales.
The album consists of 5 tracks for 49 minutes of total running time a nice trip full of riffs and haunting melodies.
Another stunning band under Invictus Records that rises above the mediocrity of bands with "folk" approaches with a thousand  useless weird insturments, but instead a work that picks up also from the most interesting features from the past of the metal scene, rearranging it in a captivating vision.
The warmest congratulations to the member of the Malokarpatan who proudly shows off a shirt of the awesome Land of Mistery of the Black Hole an Italian band that has never been celebrated enough.
