SIEGE STOMPERS - TEMPLE OF ICE

Straight outta Bolo, arrivano i Siege Stompers, alfieri dell'hc old-school di stampo americano.
Un artwork che farebbe presagire un sound alla Bolt-Thrower, invece siamo su dei territori molto 80s, con un suono che pesca a piene mani da DYS, Slapshot, Side By Side e Gorilla Biscuits.
In 13 minuti fanno quello che deve fare un gruppo hardcore: picchiare duro e veloce, inserendo sporadiche parti moshabili, di modo che il loro pubblico medio (gente rasata con bomber e bretelle o tipacci tatuati con canotta e scarpe da ginnastica) si possa dare delle sonore botte sotto al palco. Ottima prova per gli emiliani, che dopo la demo di rito e lo split con  gli Hittin' Random, mette a segno un altro colpo ben riuscito, merito anche dei suoni a cura di Fabio Banfio, che ben ricalcano le produzioni crude del decennio che più ha infiammato l'hardcore, senza però rinunciare ad una buona pulizia del suono. Complice nell'atto criminale ritorna l'ottima Tigre Records (quelli della tape dei Clear Cut), che stampa in cassetta questo gioiellino. L'artwork che tanto ha colpito la nostra attenzione è stato disegnato da Luca Zironi (Rough Touch, Game Over) e la altrettanto ganza grafica delle loro T-Shirt è stata fatta da Paolo Colletta.

Straight outta Bologna, comes Siege Stompers, worshippers of the old-school USHC, drops this new release with an artwork that made us think of a Bolt-Thrower-like sound but, instead, we've got in some very 80s-driven territory, with a sound in the likes of DYS, Slapshot, Side By Side and Gorilla Biscuits.
In 13 minutes they do what an hardcore band must do: strike hard and fast and inserting sporadic moshable parts, so that their average audience (shaved droogs with boots and braces or tattooed guys with tank tops and sneakers) a reason to fuck up each other in the pit.
An excellent performance for the boys from Bolo who, after the usual demo and the split with Hittin 'Random, they scored another successful shot, also due to the sounds editing by Fabio Banfio, that follow the raw productions of the golden decade of the hardcore, without giving up a good clean and tight sound. Once again Tigre Records is a patner in crime (those of the Clear Cut tape) that releases this gem on tape. The stunning artwork is designed by Luca Zironi (Rough Touch, Game Over) while the tees are designed by Paolo Colletta.
